WELCOME

Welcome to the official web site of the Singapore Gardening Society, We are an active group of tropical plant enthusiasts who enjoy nature at its best, especially the varied and rich plant life our climate has to offer.

Several times a year, we organize visits to gardens locally and worldwide. These trips are opened to all members. We hold monthly events, except for the month of December. These events are usually on the 3rd Saturday of every month and include talks, workshops and home visits. Members receive a newsletter called "The Grapevine" every month, which together with announcements of upcoming events, has an article related to gardening, plants or nature.

If you enjoy plants, beautifying and cultivating your own garden, or simply are in love with nature, you are the type of person we are looking for. Join us and interact with likeminded individuals and learn more about gardening and plants with us.

GARDENING IN THE GARDEN CITY

Singapore is a beautiful tropical island. Known for our clean and green urban landscapes and our dense population, preserving the pockets of green in our own small plots has become of prime importance. Be it gardening 20 stories in the air on the balcony of your apartment, the five-foot-way of your flat or the modest plot in front of your house, gardening fever is taking over the nation. Plants are relaxing, calming and therapeutic and help to mitigate the stress and bustle of urban life.
